Here's a painting Robert DeNiro did that will be featured at an art exhibit at a museum in France.
My question is, is this any good, or does he get an exhibit because of his famous name? I'm serious. I don't understand what makes this any good. It looks like something a child could paint. Maybe I just don't understand what art really is. Maybe landscapes like I do are a dime a dozen and what people are looking for are paintings that don't make any sense. What is it, anyway? Is that a hot water bottle in the lower right corner? And what's with the colored scribbles on the bottom?
I seriously think it's garbage and a waste of good canvas.

When you are famous you can get hung any where..DeNiro can get his hobby hung Alice he just gets hung and bloodied!

No of course it is not a skilled piece of art work.
Wizard you should know by now that famous people especially the ones worth 5 or 6 hundred million dollars give or take a few hundred million dollars are always worshipped and praised.

Melina, I absolutely agree with you that there's no wrong or right in art. Or music or sculpture or anything for that matter. As long as you're not hurting anybody, it's all good. The people you mention, like Poe and Dali - they were true artists. DeNiro is an artist, but he should stick to movies!

but yeah I agree just enough to keep you alive and out of trouble you are right one or two bucks is all one needs in this Messily world.

The painting looks like something I might have painted :-) it´s naive art , a table with plants and dishes in a living room...I won´t call it a great painting, but it´s still a painting. His acting is much better than this.
